Syllabus:	Bulk material handling systems in the mining and mineral industries. Bin, hopper and feeder design principles. Flow characteristics of materials. Operation and monitoring of conveyors. Power requirement calculations for conveyors. Principles of slurry pumping and pump selection calculations.
