Syllabus: Provides a broad understanding of commodity marketing concepts, the critical role commodity marketing plays in the profitable operation of farming businesses, and how marketing can be used by farmers in running businesses. Topics include: commodity market structures, factors affecting commodity markets, price setting and farmer marketing options. A commodity market of the student's choice is studied in greater depth. Grain milling and baking principles.
