Syllabus: This a first year level (non calculus) unit in physics. Topics include fundamental princilples in mechanics, units, dimensions, kinematics and dynamics, circular motion, gravitation, mechanical energy, thermal properties of matter, gas laws, simple harmonic motion, waves motion and sound, electrical charges, static and current electricity, DC Circuits, electromagnetism, electrical safety, optics, microscope, human vision, atomic and nuclear radiation physics. Fundamentals of experimental methods, including accuracy and precision, interpretation of physical measurements, graphical representation of data and uncertainties of measurement.
