Syllabus: Engineering physics - vectors in mechanics. Waves and radiation. Introduction to nuclear physics. Engineering statics - coplanar forces. Moment of forces. Rigid body equilibrium. Stress and strain. Truss analysis. Shear force and bending moment. First and second moment of area. Engineering dynamics and Newton's Laws - transitional, rotational work, energy, impulse and momentum. Relative velocity. Curvilinear motion. Dynamics of particles and rigid bodies.
