Syllabus: Examines the role of the mass media in producing public ideas about Indigenous Australians, and the important role of Indigenous media services in providing a 'voice' for Indigenous Australians. This unit also critiques journalistic practice and enables students to determine strategies for their own best practice in working with Indigenous people, and representing Indigenous issues and culture.
