Introduction

The major is designed to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of, and competencies in, accounting and associated fields of auditing, taxation, business law and financial management. It meets the educational requirements of CPA Australia and the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia (ICAA) and equips graduates for a professional accounting careet in commerce, industry, government or public practice. It is recognised as being acceptable for Associate membership of CPA Australia andthe National Institute of Accountants and entry to the ICAA graduate program.
