Syllabus: Rationale for nutrition promotion. The Australian food system and its relationship to the health care system. Designing nutrition promotion programs: community assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of programs. Innovative nutrition promotion strategies: individual and small group, schools, worksites, restaurants, supermarkets, local nutrition policies. Use of case studies to illustrate intervention and evaluation strategies.
