309648 v.2 Chinese Double Degree Major

Introduction

Completion of this major will provide students with the ability to communicate in Chinese culture, with a focus on Chinese (Mandarin). The major also provides an insight into the social frameworks, political structures and religions of Chinese culture. To successfully complete this major, students are required to complete two core units, six optional units, and eight Chinese language units. Students commence with Chinese 111, or a more advanced unit depending on the student's communicative ability, and after consultation with the Chinese teaching staff. Students enrolled in the double degree with commerce are strongly recommended to complete Asian Business Cultures 250.
