Syllabus: International legislation controlling drug products and drug distribution systems. Introduction to Australian legislation and the role of the Commonwealth and state departments of health. Pharmaceutical practice: definition of practice, professionalism, code of ethics and literature resources for practice. Dispensing of prescriptions: quality use of medicines, consumer medication information, drug utilisation review and social aspects of pharmacy practice.
