Syllabus: Exploration of various aspects and approaches to the process of instituting change. The full spectrum of issues which can be involved in the process of change and, in particular, the planning and implementation of this change is covered. These change issues can be relevant for implementation of family friendly policies to organisation restructuring, from time quality management (TQM) to re-engineering the avoidance of 'fads', from flattening structures to implementing more hierarchy, from takeovers to mergers. Change processes are put into a perspective and context which takes into account the impact of environmental factors and systems affecting any of the processes used in their outcomes.
