Syllabus: Fortran 95 programming language: arithmetic computations, selection and repetition structures, precision control, formatted I/O, array processing, procedures and modules, program design and debugging. Numerical methods and their computer implementation: analysis and control of errors, solution of nonlinear equations and error analysis, solutions of linear system of equations by direct methods, numerical interpolation and integration, introduction to the solution of ordinary differential equations.
