Syllabus: Anthropology of the city. Urban anthropology at home. Origins and growth of cities and urban anthropology. Kinship, family and neighbourhood in urban contexts. Work and recreation in cities. Ethnographic studies in and of urban settings. This unit can taken in both the Anthropology and Geography discipline majors.
