Syllabus: An overview of biosystem engineering areas and applications followed by the introduction to the following four themes: 1) the biomedical systems that include biomedical engineering, tissue engineering, biopharmaceutics, as well as gene therapy; 2) the biomass and green fuels; 3) Biomineralisation and bioleaching; as well as 4) the application of computational modelling and optimisation in these fields, focusing on the studies that emphasise the interface between engineering and biology. Includes key design methods, analytical tools, novel technology, environmental impacts, and regulatory and societal issues.
