Practical: 1 x 25 Hours Weekly
Syllabus: Development of knowledge of the human anatomy, and its applications, sufficient for entry to the study of physiotherapy. Topics covered include terminology, osteology, arthrology, myology, peripheral nervous system, lower limb anatomy, upper limb anatomy, and trunk anatomy. Development of the foundation competencies for physiotherapy practice. Basic patient care skills such as patient handling, soft tissue manipulation, passive movements and patient handling. Skills in assessment of joint movement, muscle performance and posture, and movement analysis and gait are covered. Case presentations are used to integrate student learning.
