Syllabus: General overview of the nervous system. Function and dysfunction of neurons and satellite cells. Degenerative and recovery processes following CNS and PNS injury. Neural transmission. Brain plasticity. Autonomic nervous system. Normal and abnormal development and aging of the nervous system. Structure, function and dysfunction of sensory-motor systems. Normal and abnormal structure and function of CNS vascular system.
