309835 v.2 Sport and Tourism Management Double Major

Introduction

This double major provides students with the opportunity to acquire both a sound understanding of the tourism industry and the skills and knowledge required to pursue a career in sport management. This major is unique amongst Australian universities as it is the only sport management major offered by a school of business law in Australia, reflecting the increased influence of law in the day to day operation of sport organisations. Students will study core business units alongside core sport units that contain numerous practical sport business examples from a great range of national and international sport organisations at amateur, professional and Olympic levels. The tourism management component of this double major is targeted at those interested in a career in the rapidly expanding tourism industry in Australia and overseas.
