Introduction

This major considers the relationship between literary studies and cultural studies and they represent cultural change and the articulation of cultural values. It provides students with an understanding of the making and circulation of meaning within a culture. It pays particular attention to the construction of cultural values and how they are articulated through social and creative practice. Units focus on popular culture and everyday life, examining such things as identity and popular music and new media narratives.
