Introduction

This is a multidisciplinary course designed to provide specialist training in an area of public health for graduate students.

Course Entry Requirements/Prerequisites

In addition to the University's standard entry requirements, applicants must possess a bachelor degree in an appropriate field or hold equivalent qualifications from a recognised tertiary institution.

Applicants for this course should refer to the Communicable Diseases and Criminal Record Screening and Clearance Section of this publication.

Recognition of Prior Learning

Applications for recognition of prior learning are assessed on an individual basis.

Duration and Availability

This fee-paying course available in both internal and external study modes is of one semester full-time or equivalent part-time study. Where possible, classes will be scheduled in the evening to accommodate students already employed. This course is also available to international offshore students. International onshore students on student visas are not permitted to study this course externally. The following majors are not available to international onshore students on student visas as they are only available part-time; Applied Epidemiology and Biostatistics, Health Informatics and the Sexology.

Additional Course Expenses

Students may be expected to purchase a number of textbooks, readers and other essential study materials.
