Introduction

The course is designed for international students who need to develop their English language proficiency in order to meet Curtin's literacy requirement.

Course Entry Requirements/Prerequisites

This course is only available for international students with an English proficiency level of not less than IELTS band 5 in all four skill areas, or a TOEFL score of 520 or a CUTE D (in addition to the University's standard entry requirements).

Duration and Availability

This course is one semester full-time study. Part-time study is not available to international students due to legislative and immigration provisions.

Course Organisation

Students undertake all four units over one semester.

Additional Course Expenses

Students may be expected to purchase a number of textbooks, readers and other essential study materials.
