Syllabus:

Epidemiological research, association and causation, rates and ratios, standardisation, bias, confounding and sensitivity and specificity of diagnostic tests. Principles and evaluation of clinical trials, cohort and case control studies. Multivariate analyses - simple and multiple linear regression, two-way Analysis of Variance (ANOVA), Analysis of Covariance (ANCOVA), repeated measures and Kappa statistics. Use of Statistical Package for Social Science (SPSS) software.
