Syllabus:

Band theory of semiconductors. semiconductor doping, electron and hole transport, physics of anode/cathode junction, diode construction and operation. Bipolar junction transistor, junction field effect transistor, and metal oxide semiconductor field effect transistor. Transistor biasing. Device modelling, analysis of linear single-stage amplifiers and an introduction to PSPICE.
