Syllabus:

This unit aims to guide each student in the formulation of their own project or research proposal in preparation for their IA Dissertation 499. It is intended to provide students with the following skills - the ability to apply research methodologies appropriate to the completion of major projects in interior architecture, an ability to consider issues of design and practice as a form of theoretical and scholarly research, the consolidation of skills in self-criticism and a methodology for testing personal ideas and approaches, an ability to consider the design of a total research program and its implementation and to relate this to a choice of a research project.
