Syllabus:

Gate arrays, filed-programmable gate arrays (FPGA)s, and related devices. Register transfew logic (RTL) models of complex digital systems. hardware description languages (HDL) coding of RTL systems. Programming styles. Re-use and library creation. The need for rule checking. Simulation, functional, RTL and gate level. Design for test (DFT) insertion. RTL synthesis. Timing analysis. Designing with cores. Introduction to co-design. Implementing designs. Creating a system on a chip (SoC).
