Syllabus:

Introduction of alternating current/direct current (AC/DC) and DC/AC power conversion, and quality parameters. Single and three phase uncontrolled and controlled rectification. Single phase square-wave and pulse width modulation (PWM) inverters. Current source inverters. Three phase voltage controlled and current controlled inverters. Modulation techniques. Harmonic effects in power systems. Power conditioning systems with power quality (PQ) issues. Simulation of power electronic circuits.
