Principles of mine management - organisational structures, corporate planning and budget development, leadership and control, total quality management and management information systems. Industrial relations. Major risk in mines and management of mine safety. Mine regulations in Western Australia and other states. Enforcement of the regulations and the mines inspectorate. Mines rescue, theory and practice. Professional ethics.
