Introduction

This course is intended primarily for students at the Curtin Sarawak Campus and has been designed to provide students with the skills and knowledge required to work in a Process Plant facility through a balanced program of practical, technical and theoretical training relevant to a plant operator in the chemical and oil refining or distribution industry.

Course Entry Requirements/Prerequisites

This program is designed for students who have completed at least five years of secondary school education, sat for the Malaysian SPM examination (equivalent to Year 11 or GCE "O" Level) and obtained credit in three academic subjects including at least C6in SPM English. Students will also be required to have sat the Polytechnic Course (two years post form five).

Recognition of Prior Learning

Applications for recognition of prior learning are assessed on an individual basis.

Duration and Availability

This course is a two year full-time or equivalent part-time study.
