Syllabus:

Designed to convey an understanding of the basic elements, concepts and language used in screen production. Provides exposure to such concepts as narrative, form and content, as well as to some of the practical aspects of basic screen production such as scriptwriting, sound recording, filming and editing and so on. Examines the function of linear narrative structure and its pivotal role in the manipulation of time and space in the process of developing and constructing screen texts. Nurtures creative talents though the production of screen texts. Builds on the concepts and principles introduced in Introduction to Visual Culture 061 and Introduction to Media and Communication Studies 063.
