Introduction

There is a growing need for senior urban designers capable of managing the increasingly complex problems of development, urban space and form. To meet this need the Faculty of Built Environment, Art and Design at Curtin University of Technology offers postgraduate programs in urban design to extend the existing competencies and skills of graduates. Students enrol initially in a graduate certificate which can lead to a masters degree.

Course Entry Requirements/Prerequisites

A degree or equivalent qualification in architecture, urban and regional planning or landscape architecture. Applicants may be required to undertake a qualifying program to develop design, literacy and graphic skills.

Recognition of Prior Learning

Applications for recognition of prior learning are assessed on an individual basis.

Duration and Availability

This fee-paying course is one semester full-time or equivalent part-time study.

Additional Course Expenses

Students may be expected to purchase a number of textbooks, readers and other essential study materials.
