Introduction

Project management is a distinct professional discipline, having its own body of knowledge, skills, tools and techniques. It involves managing a project from inception to completion and the successful attainment of the project objectives. The course provides the opportunity to gain the understanding, knowledge and skills necessary for performing the role of project manager. It adopts a generic approach to project management and is applicable to any project in such industries as construction, engineering,education, health, commerce, information technology and research and development.

Course Entry Requirements/Prerequisites

Appropriate bachelors degree from a recognised tertiary institution and a minimum two years relevant work experience, or a Graduate Certificate in Project Management.

Recognition of Prior Learning

Applications for recognition of prior learning are assessed on an individual basis.

Duration and Availability

This fee paying course is one and a half years full-time or equivalent part-time study.

Intermediate Awards I

A student who has successfully completed the requirements of an approved intermediate award may apply for graduation in that award subject to approval of the Head of School/Department. Fees apply. Intermediate awards approved for this course appear below.
