Syllabus: The interfaces between anthropology and history to explore a comparative range of historical and contemporary constructions and definitions of 'crime', 'criminal behaviour' and 'the criminal'. The social processes and environments that produce differing notions of crime, and work through the multivocal narratives of crime and their competing frameworks, official and unofficial.
