Syllabus: Examination of the origins and history of environmentalism, the environmental movement and the role of geographers in environmental planning and management. Environmental perception and natural resource management issues are examined with examples drawn from agriculture, pastoralism, fisheries, mining, tourism and recreation, urban development and transport. Biodiversity and bioregional planning.
