Syllabus: Overview of the nature of property and of real property law. The meaning of - land, estates and interests in land, equitable estates and interests in land, adverse possession of land, and dividing fences. Introduction to native title to land. Background to the Torrens system, features and operation of the Torrens system. Overview of co-ownership and strata titles, leases and Torrens mortgages.
