Syllabus: Radiographic techniques, safety precautions, film density, image quality. Ultrasonic methods, sound reflection and attenuation, probe calibration, IIW test block. Acoustic emission. Eddy current testing. Magnetic particles, dye penetrants. Strain measurement, resistance methods, fatigue gauges, optical and stress coat film methods. Assessing residual component life.
