Syllabus: Exploration of the complexity and diversity surrounding interpersonal violence and abuse. Theories and statistics, violence and culture, gendered patterns, child sexual and physical assault, youth violence, domestic violence, Aboriginal and minority communities, violence against elders. Interventions prioritising victim/survivor safety and advocacy and perpetrator accountability and rehabilitation. Reflexive practice and selfcare.
