Introduction to doing sociology. Introduction to sociological theory. Sociology of culture and cultural change. Socialisation and identity. National, ethnic group and personal identities and notions of community. Ideology . Social institutions and institutional change. Sexuality and gender. Families and changing patterns of human relationships. The sociology of knowledge.
