Introduction

This stream provides Security Technology graduates with both a general security background and specialist chemistry knowledge and skills. This stream enables graduates to provide specialist chemistry related security advice to organisations or undertake research on security areas such as - chemical identification and chemical sensors, explosives, fire prevention and control, detection of chemical weapons and the development of new specialist materials. Students interested in security and applied chemistry will find this stream challenging, interesting and rewarding.
