Introduction

The Gender Studies in Social Sciences Minor is designed to provide students with the conceptual basis and techniques for conducting research in gender studies. Curtin's Gender Studies Program has a particular focus on gender studies in Australia and the Asia Pacific region. Core themes of this interdisciplinary program include cross-cultural encounters, gender and globalisation, gender, work and economy, social movements and social change, identities and representatives, sexualities, families and househlds, rural and urban lives, colonialism and postcoloniality.
