Introduction

Designed for those with an undergraduate degree in business, commerce, or a related field to develop further expertise in Human Resource Management/Industrial Relations. It also equips those with some experience in human resource management, industrial relations or human resource development, to develop a strong professional specialisation in one of those fields. Features guided independent study, team projects and maximum use of information and communications technology.

Course Entry Requirements/Prerequisites

A bachelor degree in business, commerce or other appropriate field from a recognised Australian tertiary institution, or equivalent qualification.

Recognition of Prior Learning

Applications for recognition of prior learning are assessed on an individual basis.

Duration and Availability

This fee-paying course is two semesters full-time or equivalent part-time study. Some units are available in the evening.

Professional Recognition

Depending upon the major area of study chosen, graduates are eligible for membership of the Australian Human Resource Institute.

Career Opportunities

Graduates generally find employment positions that have an interest in or focus on human resource management/industrial relations activities in the intermediary managerial level.
