Introduction
This course emphasises recent advances and current developments in medical science generally, with students encouraged to pursue individual studies in a chosen field.

Course Entry Requirements/Prerequisites
A Bachelor of Science (Medical Science) degree or a Bachelor of Science degree with an appropriate major. Candidates holding qualifications other than those specified are assessed on an individual basis.

Recognition of Prior Learning
In accordance with University policy, suitably qualified applicants may be granted recognition of prior learning in the postgraduate diploma program on the basis of their previous study record. The granting of recognition of prior learning is at the discretion of the Head of School.

Duration and Availability
This fee paying course is one year full-time or equivalent part-time study. Availability of individual units may depend on the enrolment of a minimum number of students.

Additional Course Expenses
Students may be expected to purchase a number of textbooks, readers and other vital study materials. In addition, students may also need to contribute some of the cost of consumables, which varies depending on the area of study.
