Syllabus:	Laboratory practice - biological specimens, requesting and interpreting laboratory tests, accuracy and precision and quality assurance. Instrumentation - photometry, microscopy. Haematology - structure, function and morphology of blood components, cell counting, structure and function of haemoglobin, platelets and reticulocytes, erythrocyte sedimentation rate and red blood cells indices, blood counts and haematological diseases. Biochemistry - biomolecules, amino acids, proteins, carbohydrates and lipids.
