Syllabus: Covers radiographic examinations where the major emphasis is on the patient's age and / or condition, the environment where the examination is conducted and where standard protocols frequently cannot be followed, topic areas will include radiography for:geriatric and paediatric cases with an emphasis on emergency and trauma imaging; mobile and operating theatre. Students will establish an integrated understanding of general radiography in these areas taking into consideration human development, patient management and managing critically ill and stigmatised patients. Students will be expected to demonstrate their understanding of the role played by more advanced imaging modalities, and to draw on previous learning and clinical experience to provide an integrated and applied understanding of the topics covered.
