Syllabus: Orientation to the profession of teaching. Examination of what it means to be an effective teacher. Exploration of how the interaction between the teacher, learner and environment affects learning. Application of these understandings and development of teaching skills in learning settings. Planning for teaching - an introduction to lesson planning. Five days observation field experience.
