Syllabus: Decision making in viticulture with special reference to climates, soils, grape cultivars and root stocks. Vine physiology including bud initiation, fruit growth, fruit biochemistry and ampelography. Canopy management, vineyard technology and vine improvement. Vineyard factors affecting wine quality.
