Syllabus: Information sources on arid land, natural processes, pastoral land use and production systems. Land degradation incidence and status, monitoring of environmental change, nature conservation, mining, tourism and communities. Rehabilitation and revegetation,economics and ecology. Future opportunities for arid landcare in changing environmental, socioeconomic and land use settings.
