Introduction

Completion of this major will provide students with the ability to communicate in Indonesian societies. The focus of the major is Bahasa Indonesia. The major also provides an insight into the social frameworks, political structures and religions of Indonesian cultures. To successfully complete this major students are required to complete two core units, eight Indonesian language units and two elective units. Students commence with Indonesian 111, or a more advanced unit depending on the student's communicative ability, and after consultation with the Indonesian teaching staff.
