Syllabus: Introduction to geology. Origin, composition and structure of the earth. Internal and external earth processes. Plate tectonics. Basic rock relationships and the geological time-scale. Geological map interpretation. Laboratory and field study of crystals, minerals, igneous and sedimentary rocks.
