Syllabus: Direct methods for linear systems of equations, iterative methods, computation of eigenvalues and eigenvectors, solution of non-linear systems of equations, data smoothing, least squares solutions, trigonometric series, Fourier analysis, digital filtering concepts, fast Fourier transforms, splines, one and two dimensional applications.
