Syllabus: This unit will not be available until 2006. Reinforced concrete - review of beams. Design of columns and walls, slabs. Steel - use of design capacity tables, structural bracing systems, behaviour and design of baseplates. Timber - design of beams, columns, tension members, members in combined bending and direct actions, glued laminated members, joints, connections.
