Syllabus: Principles of disease processes - causes, characteristics, medical procedures, cell injury, inflammation and tissue repair, abnormal growth patterns, ischaemia, carcinogenesis, ageing, metabolic and homeostatic disorders. Roles of the blood cells and immune system in disease cardiovascular, respiratory, digestive, osteoarticular and connective tissue disorders.
