308698 v.1 Computational Mathematics Minor

Introduction

This computational mathematics minor is designed to give a student in the statistics major stream a well-rounded education in Mathematics and Statistics. In many real world problems, the need for computational skills requires a good knowledge of numerical techniques as well as techniques used in operations research. In some problems, the distinction between computational mathematics and statistics is pretty artificial and expertise in both areas is often sought by employers.
